TESTIMONIALS

The Ottawa Hospital Foundation

Dear Mr. Alie,

On behalf of The Ottawa Hospital Foundation and the organizing committee of the 11th Annual RBC Dominion Securities Inc. "Stroke for Stroke Research" Golf Tournament, I would like to thank you for supporting the event held on June 12, 2000. We are most grateful for your valuable assistance in ensuring yet another successful golf tournament.

The event was a tremendous success with a sell-out capacity of 152 golfers and a record net profit of $100,000 raised for Stroke Research conducted at The Ottawa Hospital. We have enclosed, for your perusal, post-event thank you ads published over the summer in The Ottawa Citizen and The Ottawa Hospital Journal as well as the event program.

In a time when funding is difficult to secure, the ongoing commitment of donors such as yourself is paramount to ensure the growth of our research programs. Your support has helped secure the future of Research at The Ottawa Hospital.

Many thanks again for your support and commitment and we hope to count on your continued involvement with our Foundation.

Best regards,
Mary Ann MacIntosh
Director, Business Development

The Hellenic Community of Ottawa

Dear Mr. Alie,
On behalf of the Hellenic Community of Ottawa I would like to extend my warmest thanks for your donation and support towards the Greek Summer Festival 2003.

This year, we faced a difficult challenge given the unexpected power blackout at the start of the festival; however, with your help we prevailed and had a very successful festival! We broke every record, and we attracted huge crowds who enjoyed the wonderful tastes, sounds, and arts of the Hellenic Culture.

You and your company played a big and important role in enriching the cultural life of Ottawa Community, and to that we say a heartfelt "Thank You".

We look forward to your continuing support in the future.

Sincerely,
Steve Ramphos
President

AIDS Walk Ottawa

Monsieur Alie,

It is now a month since over one thousand residents took their message of hope and remembrance to the streets of downtown Ottawa, marching with candles to light the path for AIDS. This was the most successful AIDS Walk campaign in several years, in terms of the number of walkers, in terms of the number of participating programs and agencies, and in terms of total cash raised. The gross cash revenues generated by this year’s Walk are expected to exceed $75,000.

The success of an event such as this depends a great deal on the support of many people, including those who provide all the goods and services. I would like to thank you and your colleagues for your generosity and cooperation in ensuring the success of this year’s Walk. All participants and volunteers thought our accommodations in your tents splendid, and many commented on the friendliness and cooperation of those who set up our site. Thank you so much!

Our planning for next year’s Walk has already begun. We plan to light our candles once again on either Saturday evening, September 21 or 28, depending on the consensus reached by agencies across Canada, to renew our commitment to work together and to be a Iight in thé darkness. We hope you will join with us again in next year’s campaign!

Sincerely,
Ron Chaplin

Ottawa Tourism

On behalf of the Municipal/Tourism and the Industrial Committees for the 1994 International Plowing Match I would like to express my sincere thanks for your assistance in providing our tent and the underlay for that event.

Our Committees were constantly amazed by the level of co-operation and congeniality with which every request and/or problem was dealt with and we feel it bodes well for you in terms of your ability to secure the International Plowing Match as a client in the future

you are an excellent example of what an effective family business can be and we wish you every success.

Cordially,

Marie Burchat
Manager
Ottawa Valley Tourist Association

Downtown Rideau

On behalf of the Downtown Rideau Board of Management I would like to express our sincere gratitude for your participation in our Juno related events. Hundreds of people experienced your efforts and we are continuing to receive compliments on the quality of all our Juno related events. Without you this would not have been possible. By providing your excellent advice and tents for our CD Release party and Juno projection, excitement and energy was raised for the Arts and Music in Ottawa. Thank you.

In a recent email regarding our event from Guy Laflamme of the NCC he wrote “collectively we can say MISSION accomplished. We’ve had a huge impact on the image of the region across the country and have managed to make a superb impression on all our guests… Bravo et félicitations pour un travail exceptionnel.”

According to police, who attended every JUNO event/party over the weekend, our Wrap Party on Sunday evening with the local artistic community performing was the best of the bunch, as the official parties were ‘too pretentious.

We look forward to the possibility of working with you again in the future.

Sincerely,
Peggy DuCharme

With best wishes and many thanks
